Nursery Admissions
Welcome to the Stanford Nursery admissions page!
We are delighted that you are considering our setting for your child. Please read about the fantastic provision we have on offer here at Stanford and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Stanford Nursery is a vibrant and diverse setting and provides a secure and happy learning environment for pupils to ‘be the best they can be.’ We are part of the primary school and our environment consists of a large, bright classroom with access to a range of excellent resources and technology. We also have our own kitchen which we use frequently for cooking.
Additionally, we have a vast outdoor area, complete with climbing frame, mud kitchen and sand pit.
The school also benefits from a large playing field, woodland area and pond. Outdoor learning plays a vital role in the children’s learning at Nursery and we spend much of our time exploring our environment. On ‘Welly Wednesdays’ we enjoy heading over to our nature garden and engaging with outdoor learning activities such as den building, bug hunting and natural art.
Our staff at Stanford Nursery are highly experienced and skilled at working with young children. We understand the importance of children’s early school experiences and we work in partnership with parents and carers to provide our children with a high quality education. All learning is play based and focuses on nurturing each child’s individual interests and talents. Teaching is adapted to meet the varying needs of all of our learners and progress is recorded and tracked across the year.
The Nursery provides spaces for 26 children. Children can enter the academic term after their third birthday, either in September, January or April. They attend five days a week from 8.40am - 11.45am and are taught by a full time teacher and nursery nurse. There is an option for children to stay all day (including lunchtime) until 3.15pm, either through the government scheme for 30 hours funding or for an additional paid fee of £5.02 per hour.
Please click on this link to check if you are eligible for 30 hours funding.
